Tax Services
What types of tax returns do you prepare?

We prepare a full range of federal and state tax returns, including:

  • Individual returns (Form 1040) including self-employed and freelancers
  • Partnership returns (Form 1065)
  • S-Corporation returns (Form 1120-S)
  • C-Corporation returns (Form 1120)
  • Multi-state returns for individuals and businesses
  • Amended returns (Form 1040-X) and prior-year filings
Can you help if I haven't filed taxes in several years?

Yes — this is one of our specialties. We help clients with multiple years of unfiled returns get fully compliant as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. We work to minimize penalties, organize your documentation, and create a clear path back to good standing with the IRS.

The sooner you act, the better your outcome. Contact us today →

Do you help with amended returns?

Yes. If a previously filed return contains errors, missed deductions, or incorrect information, we can prepare and file an amended return (Form 1040-X) to correct it. In many cases, this results in a refund or reduced tax liability.

Can you help me identify tax credits I may have missed?

Absolutely. Our tax credit analysis service reviews your full financial picture to identify federal and state credits you may be eligible for but have not claimed — including education credits, energy credits, child and dependent care credits, earned income credits, and business-specific tax credits.

Do you offer bookkeeping services?

Yes. PrimeTax offers monthly bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and year-end reporting to keep your financial records clean, organized, and audit-ready. Accurate books are the foundation of smart tax planning and business growth.

Do you handle payroll taxes?

Yes. We provide payroll tax setup, compliance monitoring, and resolution of payroll tax issues with the IRS. Payroll tax problems are among the most aggressively pursued by the IRS, so proactive compliance is essential for any business with employees.

IRS Resolution
I received an IRS notice — what should I do?

Do not ignore it. IRS notices require a response within a specific timeframe — ignoring them leads to escalating penalties, interest, and collection actions such as liens and levies.

Contact PrimeTax immediately. We will review the notice, determine the appropriate response, and handle all IRS communications on your behalf. Call us at (469) 407-5112 for same-day assistance.

What is an Offer in Compromise (OIC)?

An Offer in Compromise is an IRS program that allows qualifying taxpayers to settle their tax debt for significantly less than the full amount owed. The IRS considers your income, expenses, asset equity, and ability to pay when evaluating an OIC.

PrimeTax conducts a full eligibility assessment, prepares the complete OIC package (Forms 656 and 433-A/B), and negotiates directly with the IRS on your behalf for the best possible settlement outcome.

Can the IRS reduce or remove my penalties?

Yes — in many cases. The IRS offers penalty abatement programs including First-Time Abatement (FTA) and Reasonable Cause abatement. If you qualify, penalties can be reduced or entirely removed, significantly lowering your total liability.

PrimeTax evaluates your eligibility and submits strategic penalty abatement requests on your behalf.

What is an installment agreement?

An installment agreement is an IRS payment plan that allows you to pay your tax debt in manageable monthly payments rather than a lump sum. PrimeTax negotiates the most favorable payment terms based on your income and financial situation.

What happens if the IRS places a lien or levy on my assets?

A tax lien is a legal claim against your property. A tax levy is the actual seizure of property — including bank accounts, wages, and assets. Both are serious and require immediate action.

PrimeTax can file for lien release or subordination, and work to stop or reverse levy actions through negotiation, installment agreements, or other resolution programs. Contact us immediately if this is your situation.

Can you represent me during an IRS audit?

Yes — fully. PrimeTax provides complete audit defense representation for correspondence, office, and field audits. We handle all IRS communications, gather and organize your documentation, prepare your response, and represent you directly throughout the entire examination process.

What is Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status?

Currently Not Collectible (CNC) is an IRS status granted to taxpayers who owe taxes but cannot afford to pay due to financial hardship. While in CNC status, the IRS temporarily suspends collection activity against you — no levies, no garnishments.

PrimeTax evaluates whether you qualify and submits the necessary documentation to request CNC status on your behalf.

Business Services
What is the best business entity structure for tax purposes?

The best structure depends on your specific situation — your income level, business type, number of owners, and long-term goals. Common options include:

  • LLC — flexible, pass-through taxation, liability protection
  • S-Corporation — reduces self-employment tax for owner-operators
  • C-Corporation — better for investment, multiple shareholders, or IPO plans
  • Partnership — for multi-owner businesses with pass-through taxation

PrimeTax conducts a full entity analysis and recommends the structure that maximizes your tax efficiency from day one.

Can you help me form my LLC or S-Corp?

Yes. PrimeTax handles the complete business formation process including entity selection, state registration, EIN registration with the IRS, and S-Corporation tax election filing (Form 2553). We ensure your business is structured correctly and tax-efficiently from its first day of operation.

Do you handle multi-state business tax compliance?

Yes. If your business operates in multiple states, you may have tax filing and registration obligations in each jurisdiction. PrimeTax provides multi-state tax compliance support to ensure you meet all federal and state requirements, avoid penalties, and stay in good standing across all locations.

Can you help with business cash-flow and growth planning?

Yes. Our business advisory services include financial forecasting, cash-flow planning, and tax-efficient growth strategy. We help business owners understand how their financial decisions affect their tax position — and how to grow profitably while minimizing their tax burden.

When should I switch from a sole proprietor to an LLC or S-Corp?

Generally, if your net self-employment income exceeds $40,000–$50,000 per year, transitioning to an S-Corporation can save you significant self-employment tax. An LLC provides liability protection at any income level. The right time depends on your specific numbers and situation — our team can run a full analysis for you.

Tax Planning
What is proactive tax planning and why does it matter?

Proactive tax planning means working on your tax strategy throughout the year — not just at filing time. By reviewing your income, deductions, investments, and business decisions before year-end, we identify legal opportunities to reduce your tax liability before it's too late to act.

Most people overpay taxes simply because they didn't plan ahead. PrimeTax clients consistently reduce their tax burden through year-round strategic planning.

Can you help me plan for estimated quarterly taxes?

Yes. If you're self-employed, a freelancer, or a business owner, you are generally required to pay estimated quarterly taxes. PrimeTax calculates your quarterly obligations, helps you set aside the right amount, and ensures you avoid underpayment penalties throughout the year.

How can major life events affect my taxes?

Major life events can significantly impact your tax situation. PrimeTax helps clients plan for:

  • Marriage or divorce — filing status and deduction changes
  • New children — dependent credits and childcare deductions
  • Home purchase or sale — mortgage interest deductions and capital gains
  • Job change or retirement — income shift and retirement account strategy
  • Starting a business — entity selection and deduction optimization
  • Inheritance or large gifts — estate and gift tax implications
Do you provide retirement tax planning?

Yes. We help clients optimize their retirement account contributions — including 401(k), IRA, SEP-IRA, and Solo 401(k) — to reduce current taxable income while building long-term wealth. We also advise on Roth conversion strategies and required minimum distributions (RMDs) for existing retirees.

Do you offer ongoing advisory services?

Yes. PrimeTax is available year-round — not just during tax season. Our ongoing advisory clients receive quarterly strategy sessions, real-time tax planning guidance, and priority access to our advisors for questions and decisions that arise throughout the year.

What should I bring to my first consultation?

To make the most of your consultation, it's helpful to have:

  • Your most recent tax return (last 1–2 years if available)
  • Any IRS notices or letters you've received
